Electrical Engineering Team Lead

About the Role:

  • This position leads a team of engineers to design and develop production facilities and process skids for greenfield and brownfield projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing ITT documents, preparing technical queries, and interfacing with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants. They will also carry out FEED verification activities, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial offers from vendors, and prepare scope split matrices.

  • They will liaise with project teams on project schedules, establish target completion dates, and ensure they are achieved.
  • Assign and distribute manpower for engineering activities within budgeted project man-hours, recommend cost-effective measures, and provide inputs for equipment layout.
  • Coordinate with fabrication contractors, review vendor drawings and documents, and ensure vendor equipment specifications meet client requirements and are within budgeted costs.
  • Prepare Material Take Offs, initiate procurement activities, identify gaps, take corrective action as required, and interface with construction sites and commissioning engineers.
  • Monitor and assess engineering performance, quality, and provide feedback for improvement, participate in client meetings, and coordinate with third-party engineering companies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of industry experience, with plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in a project or staff group.
  • Understanding of industry or regulatory international codes and standards pertinent to the engineering discipline.

Expertise:

  • Experience in executing proposal, FEED, and detail engineering of oil & gas projects.
  • Knowledge of industry processes such as MEG, TEG, PWT, SWT, Desalters, Power units, Dehydrators, Gas and Solids treatments, Process Electric Heaters, and control panels.
  • All project phases execution from engineering to start-up, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of LV, MV, and HV systems, MCC, transformers, GEG, GTG, EDG, MTO's, Load flow, short circuit, harmonic analysis, transient stability, relay coordination, arc flash, etc., using ETAP.
  • Designing of all electrical systems such as grounding, lighting, small power, and power distribution arrangements, lightning protection, Heat tracing, and cathodic protection.
  • Knowledge of hazardous classification specifications, schedule, and layouts, Lighting design using DIALUX software.
