Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished finance professional to lead our financial strategy and operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our overall financial strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the school's overall financial strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Financial Insights: Provide timely and accurate financial insights to senior leadership, informing decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Risk Management: Contribute to risk management, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
Financial Performance:
  • Financial Statements: Prepare and present financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to best practices in financial governance.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Statutory Requirements: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including income tax, GST, corporate filings, and education-sector-specific regulations.
  • Expatriate Staff Payroll: Manage expatriate staff payroll and taxation, adhering to international taxation norms and double-taxation treaties.
  • Audits and Compliance: Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities to oversee audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
Admissions and Fees:
  • Fees Management: Oversee finance-related aspects of the admissions process, including fee structures, invoicing, collections, and refunds.
  • Financial Processes: Implement transparent and parent-friendly financial processes aligned with our organizational ethos.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor fee receivables and manage collection processes to ensure healthy cash flow.
Expatriate Financial Management:
  • Expatriate Support: Manage tax equalization, relocation allowances, and compliance with home/host country obligations.
  • Financial Guidance: Support expatriates in navigating financial, taxation, and compliance matters.
Team and Operational Oversight:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Operational Management: Oversee procurement, vendor management, contracts, and resource allocation.
