Job Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Software Engineer team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based on collaborative work environment that values diversity and inclusivity. As a Senior Principal Engineer - Applications Development, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with senior developers to develop codes, tests and debugs of software programs and enhancements to meet project plan goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting and assisting senior developers in developing codes, tests and debugs of software programs and enhancements to meet project plan goals.
  • Working under guidance from senior software developers to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
  • Assisting with repairing coding problems and providing technical support to internal clients on existing problems, escalating as appropriate.
  • Monitoring trends and results from technical support calls to advise senior team members on performance of existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have solid commercial experience in enterprise application development. You should have expertise in designing and developing systems that are maintainable, scalable, extensible, reliable and secure. Your skills should also include front-end development using the latest web technologies to create user-friendly and accessible user experiences.

In addition, you should have experience working in multi-disciplined teams including Architecture, Quality Engineering, Product Management, UX. You should understand Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals, common design patterns and SOLID principles, debugging and general problem-solving skills, Agile development methodology along with full software development life cycle experience.

You will also need to have proactive communication and cross-group collaboration skills, as well as experience with Web performance, testability, accessibility and security, HTTP(S) and other common communication protocols, RESTful APIs, C# .Net ASP.Net Core HTML & CSS TypeScript Web API, demonstrable experience in C# .Net ASP.Net Core HTML & CSS TypeScript Web API, written and verbal communication with stakeholders in English.
