Key Infrastructure Manager Roles

This is a senior IT role that oversees the organization's entire IT infrastructure. It includes servers, networks, storage systems, cloud environments, and data centers.

The primary focus of this job is to ensure the high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and experience in network, systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals and scalability needs.
  • Cloud Management: Manage hybrid cloud environments (e.g. Nutanix, cloud migrations) with cost optimization.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for infrastructure security and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineers and support staff; assign tasks, monitor performance, and enable growth.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Oversee proactive monitoring of systems and networks; resolve incidents with minimal downtime.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed system/process documentation and prepare reports on infrastructure health and KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management or equivalent roles.

Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms; leadership and team management capabilities; excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; strong communication and project management abilities; familiarity with ITIL practices and service delivery frameworks.
