We are looking for an experienced Airfield Engineer to lead our Aviation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering airfield civil engineering design and maintenance projects. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the design of airfield civil engineering projects.
  2. Managing project delivery, including planning work and managing junior team members.
  3. Preparing technical reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
  4. Undertaking technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements.
  5. Actively participating in the design process and providing technical input.
  6. Effectively communicating with team members, industry associates and clients.
  7. Identifying and managing design risks and issues.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure design at airports. They will also need to have strong communication skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key qualifications include:

  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports.
  • Civil engineering experience of working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects.
  • Experience managing engineering professionals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Status (MICE, MCIHT or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts.
