Lead Design Strategist

We are looking for a seasoned design leader to drive the scale and quality of our design operation from India. As Head of Design, you will be responsible for leading a growing team of designers across five studios in India, while collaborating with 17 studios globally to deliver best-in-class outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving user-centered design processes, with experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and user research. They should also have a portfolio of outstanding work performed by teams led and directed by them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive design quality, craft, and practice, continuously enhancing overall competency of the team.
  • Evolving our service offering and value propositions to clients, developing new models for designing closer with clients and technology teams in truly agile engagements.
  • Providing strategic design thought leadership to the whole organization, publishing and speaking at internal and external events to further build reputation internally and externally in the market.
  • Guiding and directing strategy, approach, and concept creation for proposals, defining storyline for pitches and presentations and delivering engaging and inspiring presentations to clients.
  • Facilitating design-focused sessions and workshops with C-suite and C-suite minus 1 clients from the world's largest organizations.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience; 7+ years leadership/management experience of teams of 50+ designers.
  • Background in agency world or running large-scale teams for startups and organizations in-house.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.
  • Mastery in Product Design, Service Design, User Research, demonstrated through a portfolio of outstanding work performed by teams led and directed by you.
  • Proven experience building aligned connections both regionally and globally as a respected leader in the design community.
