The finance team at our company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Lead to manage the end-to-end invoice processing function. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and process excellence while mentoring your team and collaborating with other departments.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have an MBA (finance), CA or CWA qualification and 8 to 12 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or related finance roles. You should also have a proven track record in handling complex invoice processing operations and leading teams.

Your responsibilities will include driving strategic initiatives for automation, quality assurance, and policy adherence; overseeing and optimizing invoice workflows; and collaborating with procurement, receiving, treasury, and HR teams.

  • Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls, GST, SOX, and relevant financial regulations
  • Overseeing and optimizing invoice workflows, including 3-way/2-way matching, exception handling, and resolution of discrepancies such as blocked invoices, pricing/quantity variances, and GR/IR clearing
  • Driving automation initiatives and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and ERP teams to improve invoice posting accuracy and efficiency
  • Mentoring and leading the invoice processing team, fostering high performance, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices
  • Monitoring and analyzing invoice processing performance metrics, SLA adherence, aging, and blocked invoice reports
  • Ensuring audit readiness and quality assurance by maintaining thorough documentation, supporting internal and external audit processes, and continuously improving process controls and SOPs
