About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Creative Synergies Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electrical systems for rail equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical solutions for high-complexity systems used in rail equipment and industry.
  • Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment, considering cost, time limitations, and technical factors.
  • Create layout and design of electrical components and systems in 3D CAD, with an understanding of design application, interaction, and manufacturing.
  • Prepare and compile necessary calculations to support product designs.
  • Deliver quality releases of engineering documentation, checking own work and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience or Master's degree with 6-8 years of experience in Electrical Systems for Rail Equipment.
  • Good understanding of rules governing RDSO, AAR, and FRA regulated equipment design implications on machine designs.
  • Able to size and design 480V motor, generator controls, circuit protection sizing, and wire/conductor sizing.
  • Knowledge of PLC system and instrumentation basics, creating and editing electrical schematics.
  • Experience in project management, Electrical and Control System Design Software - Promis.e, Autodesk Inventor, and Vault.
