Job Title: Senior Data Platform Expert

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Platform Expert to join our team.

Job Description

The Senior Data Platform Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data platforms to support business growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database administration, data architecture, and cloud computing technologies.

  • Design and implement data platforms using relational and NoSQL databases
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible
  • Manage and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Administer and monitor Apache Kafka (open-source) clusters, including topic management, performance tuning, and security
  • Perform database administration for Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL systems, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 6 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Experience with Relational or NoSQL database technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies effectively
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting
