Tosca Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tosca Automation Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.


Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of complex enterprise applications by integrating test automation into the CI/CD pipeline and collaborating with QA, development, and DevOps teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using Tosca Commander.
  • Create and manage reusable test modules and libraries.
  • Integrate Tosca tests into CI/CD pipelines and Test Management Tool.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
  • Implement and maintain test data management using Tosca TDM or external tools.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of failed tests and report bugs in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, etc.).
  • Execute regression, smoke, and sanity testing as part of agile sprints.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test strategies, standards, and tools

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation using Tricentis Tosca.
  • Hands-on expertise in Tosca Modules, TestCases, Requirements, TestSheets, ExecutionLists, Tosca Commandar.
  • Good understanding of API Testing, Web UI Testing, and Database Testing using Tosca.
  • Familiarity with Tosca Query Language (TQL) and Tosca BI/DS is a plus.
  • Experience with test data management tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Cross team collaboration
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
  • Experience working with Agile/scrum environment and version control like GIT
  • API testing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tricentis Tosca Automation Specialist Level 1 & 2 certification.
  • Knowledge of other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, UFT) and programming language like Java /Python /C#
