Lead Jewellery Designer

The role of a Lead Jewellery Designer is to oversee the design and development of innovative and stylish jewellery pieces that align with our brand identity and meet market trends. As a creative professional, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and bringing new ideas to life.

This challenging yet rewarding role requires a deep understanding of materials, gemstones, and production processes. You will work closely with production teams, marketing, and clients to ensure that designs are feasible, meet quality standards, and exceed client expectations.

  • Create original designs for various jewellery types (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc.) using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional hand-drawing/sketching techniques.
  • Use your expertise in CAD software to develop detailed designs and technical drawings that meet production requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients or internal teams to understand design requirements and translate them into compelling pieces that showcase our brand's unique style.
  • Research market trends, materials, and techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and ensure that our designs are competitive and innovative.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in jewellery design (2+ years preferred), preferably in a lead designer role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and traditional hand-drawing/sketching techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3D printing or prototyping tools.
  • Understanding of branding and merchandising strategies.
