Machine Learning Scientist for Emerging Markets

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Scientist to join our team in India. As part of our International Machine Learning Team, you will be responsible for building novel ML solutions that address problems in Emerging Markets and drive business growth.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge machine learning projects that have a direct impact on the bottom-line and top-line of Amazon's business in India. You will work closely with software engineering teams, business partners, and other scientists to design, develop, and deploy innovative ML models.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing scalable machine learning solutions for business problems using techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
- Analyzing and extracting relevant information from large amounts of Amazon's historical business data to automate and optimize key processes.
- Working closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborating with business partners to identify problems and propose machine learning solutions that drive business growth.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from product bundle recommendations to safeguarding financial transactions, and enhance the customer experience through personalized suggestions and automation.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in building models for business applications.
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing.
Preferred qualifications include experience working with a large tech organization and a PhD in CS, EE with specialization in ML.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
