Senior Technical Lead in Data Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our team as a highly skilled and strategic data engineer. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in cloud-based technologies, Azure, and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
  • Databricks Asset Bundles: Hands-on work with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) for CI/CD and environment management.
  • ELT/ETL Workflows: Build and manage scalable ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services.
  • New Technology Adoption: Continuously adopt and apply new Databricks features to accelerate delivery.
  • Code Optimization: Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability.
  • Software Engineering Practices: Apply software engineering best practices (e.g., TDD, CI/CD, modular design, code reviews) to ensure a robust, maintainable, and strategic data ecosystem.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members to improve overall team productivity and technical capability.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Deliver in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ Years of Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering with at least 5 years hands-on in Azure & Databricks.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in:
  • Databricks: Databricks (Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Workflows, Databricks Asset Bundles , MLflow basics, unity catalog).
  • Azure Data Services: Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL).
  • Programming Languages: Python, SQL, Spark (with proven performance optimization skills).
  • Data Architecture: Strong knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, governance).
  • Delivery Track Record: Track record of efficient delivery and helping teams accelerate execution.
