Job Title: Technical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our software development team at Xplor. As a Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our mobile applications and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our mobile applications using React Native
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy and design solutions
  • Consult with development teams to provide technical solutions for complex issues
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure technical design aligns with the vision and future state of existing systems

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on mobile applications
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with React Native for mobile app development
  • Proven track record of leading development teams and managing projects from conception to deployment

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks, especially React Native
  • Deep understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns
  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services

Leadership and Management:

  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA
  • Experience in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for mobile applications
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Firebase)
  • Contribution to open-source projects or community involvement in React Native
