Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our team at the Bengaluru Technology Center in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As a Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting piping engineering needs across global businesses in projects and site support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine work independently and undertake complex problems or issues with the guidance of a senior engineer.
  • Conduct detailed technical evaluations to address issues with Piping and system design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical assistance to Root Cause Failure Analysis teams.
  • Review project and contractor deliverables as requested to ensure compliance with project specifications, Design Practices, Codes & standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary document review, design reviews, 3D model reviews, risk assessments.
  • Coordinate/collaborate across all technical disciplines, as well as field engineering support to develop pragmatic, general interest solutions.
  • Support functional initiatives and maintain discipline documentation.
  • Provide technical mentorship to young engineers.
  • Proactively and continuously grow technical expertise in pertinent technologies.
  • Maintain current knowledge through participation in industry training, conferences, and forums.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognized university as a minimum with GPA or above.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in piping engineering in the oil & gas industry.
  • Working knowledge on Piping arrangements, piping isometrics, plot plan, equipment layout.
  • Piping materials take-off, piping material specifications, valve material specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals.
  • Stress analysis, piping supports.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME, API, and ASTM.
  • Knowledge on tools such as CAESAR II, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review, Nozzle Pro, etc.
  • Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, interface, and technical judgment skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Willing and able to travel as required, both domestic and international.
  • Experience in live Plant Operations a plus.
