Senior Academic Development Adviser Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Academic Development Adviser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and management of programs that advance the goals of the organization.

The Senior Academic Development Adviser will be responsible for engaging with relevant faculty and departments from Columbia University to design, develop, budget, implement, and monitor various research, educational, and training programs. This includes:

  • Program Design and Development: Collaborating with faculty and departments to create innovative programs that meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Advocacy and Development: Supporting the development efforts of the organization and its programs, building relationships with key stakeholders, including CSR heads.
  • Fostering Partnerships: Establishing and maintaining partnerships with local/national academic institutions, NGOs, government entities, and private sector organizations to enhance program objectives and capacity-building efforts.
  • Travel: Occasional travel within India and abroad to advance the goals of the organization.

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of years of relevant work experience in program management in a related field. You will also possess excellent coordinating skills and a passion for public programming. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of research concepts and current academic research in your field of expertise, familiarity with networks of relevant stakeholders in India, and superior verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional Indian languages being a plus.
