Job Title: Data Expert

Overview of the Role:

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Data Expert to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data systems.

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and PySpark technology.
  • Implement robust data lake/data warehouse principles, techniques, and technologies including Star Schema, SQL, AWS EMR, Apache Iceberg, and Parquet file formats.
  • Develop strong database skills with expertise in NoSQL and relational databases handling massive data volumes.
  • Apply data modeling concepts and principles to consolidate multiple complex sources.
  • Experience in developing and delivering systems on major public cloud providers, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of APIs, web services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Kubernetes, and cloud-native practices.
  • Experience in modern software and data engineering patterns, including highly scalable, distributed, and resilient systems.
  • Develop microservices-based architectures with distributed messaging patterns.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for agile practices, DevSecOps, incremental delivery, continuous improvement, and ability to cultivate a strong team culture. Aspiration to take a mentoring role within the team is desirable.
