Senior Data Governance Executive

The role of Senior Data Governance Executive is a crucial part of our organization's data management strategy. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive data governance framework that encompasses data standards, quality rules, metadata management, and stewardship practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Governance Framework Development:
    • Develop and maintain a data governance framework that includes data standards, data quality rules, metadata management, and data stewardship practices and guidelines.
    • Act as a bridge between the enterprise data office and divisional/business data governance stakeholders.
    • Partner with business functions to drive data maturity assessments and remediation plans.
  • Data Quality and Integrity:
    • Develop and implement data quality metrics and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Collaborate with data owners and stewards to identify and address data quality issues.
    • Ensure that data governance practices align with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with the information security team to ensure that data security controls are in place and effective.
  • Data Stewardship:
    • Identify and appoint data stewards to oversee specific data assets and ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Provide training and support to data stewards to ensure that they can effectively manage and maintain data assets.
