Job Overview

This role is for an individual with a strong accounting background and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, including vouching, filing, maintenance of books of accounts, analyzing revenue trends, and developing revenue budgets.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of practical accounting experience in a service industry and a commerce graduate degree. They should also possess excellent time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, they should be conversant with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, credits, and adjustments in the accounting system.
  • Analyze revenue trends and variances.
  • Develop revenue budgets and update revenue forecasts.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update customer accounts.
  • Prepare and review aging reports, and manage overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

Requirements

  • Commerce graduate degree.
  • 3+ years of practical accounting experience in a service industry.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office applications.
