Job Title:

SAP Basis Professional

Overview:

This role involves providing expert-level support for SAP Basis administration, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of SAP systems.

Responsibilities:
  • System Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SAP systems to meet business requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance by analyzing metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing fixes.
  • System Refreshes: Perform client copies, transports between environments, and system refreshes to maintain data integrity.
  • SAP Security: Implement and maintain roles, authorizations, and access control to protect SAP systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams to resolve application issues and ensure smooth system operation.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery processes to ensure data availability.
  • Log Analysis: Monitor system logs, identify trends, and take corrective action to prevent issues.
  • Escalations: Coordinate with SAP support and handle escalations for system-related issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and other SAP products.
  • Proficiency in database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA).
  • Experience with OS platforms such as Linux, Windows, or UNIX.
  • Knowledge of SAP Security concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) and SAP Cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and its functionalities.
  • SAP certifications related to Basis administration.
