Responsibilities:
Our Database Administrator will be responsible for the administration of databases and their ecosystems, supporting release, incident, problem, and business continuity management practices. They will also be involved in patching, upgrading, and complying with audit controls, as well as continuously improving database service quality to ensure stability and high availability. Additionally, they will be expected to implement, secure, support, and upgrade enterprise infrastructure, ensuring that corporate applications run correctly and are highly available.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 4 years of experience as an MS-SQL Server DBA, with core competency on SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, and 2016 in a production environment. They should also have working experience of High Availability (HA), Log shipping, mirroring, replication, clustering, and Always On Availability groups and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server. Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Always On Availability, SQL Replication, and Microsoft Clustering is required. Good knowledge of resolving performance issues, cloud technologies especially AWS, and homogeneous and heterogeneous database migration is also necessary. Team players with good communication skills and MCTS/MCSA/AWS SAA certifications are preferred.
