Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data architectures and solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and deliver robust, secure, and high-performance data systems that empower analytics and data science initiatives.

About the Job:

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure services, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Build and optimize data architectures on Azure for efficient data processing, leveraging cloud-based services such as Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Event Hubs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows from diverse sources, utilizing tools like Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the data lifecycle, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage Azure services like Key Vault and Terraform or Bicep for automated provisioning and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Design and implement data modeling techniques to support analytical workloads, collaborating with analysts and data scientists to deliver advanced analytics solutions.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Required Skills:

  • Expert-level experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex transformations and data modeling.
  • Advanced Python skills for data pipeline development and orchestration.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools for Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
