Chief Mechanical Design Engineer

This role involves leading the end-to-end product design and development process for consumer and industrial electronic products. The candidate will be responsible for driving product design from concept to market launch.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and leadership ability to guide a small team of engineers. They will translate customer/market requirements into innovative and manufacturable product designs.
The role requires experience in mechanical product design and development with a strong background in consumer electronics or similar domain experience. SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure is also necessary.
In this position, the candidate will develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with full GD&T and tolerance stack-up. They will perform design calculations, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis for robust product performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Mechanical product design and development experience with 8-10 years of industry experience
- SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure (thermal/structural FEA preferred)
- Strong background in consumer electronics or similar domain experience
- Experience in leading a small team (2-3 engineers)
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
