Job Overview:

The role of a Senior Associate involves providing exceptional client service and support to various clients. This includes conducting in-depth research and analysis, drafting advises and opinions, preparing PowerPoint presentations, analyzing client data, and identifying the most tax-efficient business model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of legal provisions to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Draft and present advises, opinions, and compliance reports to clients.
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
  • Analyze client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions.
  • Develop and implement scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business model.
  • Contribute to articles, monographs, and other publications to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by identifying and discussing technical issues with clients while considering firm risk issues.
  • Handle tax matters, including submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and client meetings.
  • Assume near-independent responsibility for smaller clients and develop relationships with middle-layer client management.
  • Stay up-to-date with firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.

Networking and Opportunity Identification:

  • Identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicate with managers.
  • Network internally to gain understanding of issues impacting clients.
  • Compile legal databases and contribute to study sessions, updating knowledge with latest legal developments.
  • Mentor Associates and guide them on their work.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in CA or LLB with a strong track record.
  • Excellent English communication skills and good personality.
  • 2-4 years of experience in indirect tax advisory/litigation post qualification.
