We are seeking a skilled Freelance IOT Engineer to develop innovative IoT solutions that support scalable and secure deployments.

As an expert in designing and implementing complex IoT architectures, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative IoT solutions, and conducting feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate technical feasibility and potential business value.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in designing and implementing complex IoT solutions, expertise in IoT protocols, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub), hands-on experience with IoT device management, edge computing, and data analytics, and excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

We offer a flexible schedule of approximately 35 hours per week, 100% remote work from our side, and regular monthly payments. We prioritize candidates with at least 5 years of experience and a current 100% remote job.

Job Description

Develop IoT architectures and frameworks that support scalable and secure IoT deployments.

Lead the design and implementation of IoT solutions, including device management, data analytics, and integration with existing systems.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative IoT solutions.

Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts to validate technical feasibility and potential business value.

Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations in IoT solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (X+ years) as an IoT Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing complex IoT solutions.
  • Expertise in IoT protocols, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN, AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub).
  • Hands-on experience with IoT device management, edge computing, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their IoT services.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified IoT Specialty, Cisco IoT Certifications) preferred.
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities, or agriculture is a plus.
