Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SQL scripting and stored procedures, as well as knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain databases ensuring high availability and performance
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Optimize queries and database structure for maximum efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to design database solutions that meet business needs
  • Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks including updates and patches
  • End-to-end migration of databases Discover Assess Migrate & Optimize
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes
  • Monitor system's health and performance
  • Ensure high levels of performance availability sustainability and security

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL Server MySQL or Oracle databases
  • Strong understanding of database security backups and recovery processes
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning
  • Brief knowledge of scripting languages e.g. Python PowerShell

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Candidates with experience using Azure SQL Instances
