Livelihoods Strategist

Our organization is dedicated to empowering rural communities through sustainable and scalable income opportunities. We seek an experienced professional to lead our livelihoods strategy in Punjab.

The successful candidate will spearhead the development of a comprehensive livelihoods strategy, aligning with our vision and Punjab's socio-economic realities. They will identify and design sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities, leveraging their expertise in agri-allied enterprises, skill development, women-led micro-enterprises, and green economy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a holistic approach to livelihoods programming, integrating technology, digital literacy, and market linkages.
• Design and pilot innovative livelihood models that address rural challenges, enhance dignity of work, women's participation, and climate resilience.
• Build models that can scale across Punjab, ensuring long-term community ownership and sustainability.
• Lead end-to-end program design and planning, including budgeting, resource allocation, and monitoring frameworks.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale livelihood initiatives in India, preferably in Punjab/North India.
• Strong understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi (desired).
