Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. As an Automation Engineer, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for this role is: #Li_hybrid.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Developing software solutions for machine automation with varied tasks, such as concept creation and requirements engineering for intelligent machine automation.
  • Software development with our engineering tool "Automation Studio".
  • Automation and testing of our latest product developments and technologies.
  • Commissioning at our customers' sites.
  • Support and assistance with technical issues.
  • Planning and monitoring application development status for each assigned task.
  • Keeping the communication channel active with the stakeholders until the completion of application.
  • Maintaining and protecting B&R/customer IP.

Qualifications for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical/electronics/instrumentation/mechatronics).
  • Knowledge in software development for automation technology (high-level languages e.g. ST, C).
  • 0 to 4 years in 'Machine Automation' development and support experience.
  • Confident in communication in the English language and local language.
  • Experience in the field of automation/electrical (PLC, drives, control systems, motion control).
  • Hands-on experience of Installation & Commissioning.
  • A proactive, communicative person, able to work independently.
  • Flexibility with business trips.
