Cloud Architect for Big Data Solutions

Societe Generale is seeking an experienced Cloud and Big Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud expertise and proficiency in big data technologies.

  • Job Summary:
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Big Data architectures in cloud environments.
  • Migrate on-premises applications and databases to the cloud.
  • Ensure data governance and applicative implementation standards on the data lake store.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in Azure cloud technologies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) in Data and Cloud Platform to ensure suggested solutions meet requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Azure.
  • Proficient in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and their integration with cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data lifecycle management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Experience with CI/CD integration tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, and GitHub Actions.
  • Azure certification and DevOps experience are a plus.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Finance and banking experience will be highly valued.
