VMware Infrastructure Specialist

Role: Senior VMware Administrator

About the Role:

  • Maintain optimal uptime and performance characteristics for storage area networks (SAN) infrastructure and converged platforms.
  • Address escalated issues from Level 2 teams and clients to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Analyze monitoring results and propose enhancements to improve performance, security, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and recommend infrastructure modifications or additional equipment upgrades to increase system capacities.
  • Perform troubleshooting to maintain high levels of system uptime and performance.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to replace hardware, advance troubleshoot, and apply code updates.

Main Responsibilities include day-to-day operational activities, BMC ticket closure within Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), and coordination with multiple teams to resolve complex issues.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SAN infrastructure and converged platforms.
  • Experience in handling escalated issues and resolving complex technical problems.
  • Ability to analyze monitoring results and propose improvements.
  • Familiarity with OEM partnerships and hardware replacement procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
