Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Leader to join our team at Epam. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data science models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel data science models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to collect, pre-process, and curate datasets suitable for training.
  • Train and fine-tune machine learning/deep learning models using large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance, robustness, and generalization of machine learning/deep learning models.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including model architecture, implementation details, and experimental results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and NLP.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and JAX.
  • Experience with pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, spaCy, and statsmodels.
  • General understanding of data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, and distributed computing concepts.
  • Knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models as well as fundamental mathematical concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
