Job Overview:

This leadership position plays a pivotal role in shaping our credit underwriting strategies and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, policy creation, and data-driven decision making.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our credit operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Policy Development: Create and implement policies for credit underwriting based on different product constructs.
  2. Collaborate with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models, validate performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Determine performance benchmarks and take corrective action when necessary.
  4. Automate Credit Policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  5. Determine optimal pricing strategies based on segmentation.
  6. Standardize policies and processes across the organization.
  7. Monitor portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds.

Performance Monitoring:

  1. Analyze portfolio performance, recommend policy changes to the Policy head, and implement improvements.
  2. Conduct regular credit reviews, analyze data to identify high-risk segments, and take corrective action.
  3. Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure compliance with company standards and benchmarks.
  4. Identify technological solutions to enhance existing processes and overall portfolio management functions.
  5. Monitor portfolio performance using various Management Information Systems (MIS).

New Partner Integrations:

  1. Understand new channel partners' products and target segments.
  2. Collaborate with partners to identify required information and data at application time.
  3. Create policies based on products, available information, and prevailing models.
  4. Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments.
  5. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  6. Implement policies, conduct UAT and production testing, and resolve bottlenecks.

Relationship Management:

Manage relationships with Partners, credit reporting agencies, and support all credit operations.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, or Management from reputable institutions.
  • Preferred qualifications: BTech with MBA.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience, including 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Familiarity with risk performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with large datasets using data processing and statistical tools.
  • Data-driven approach, analytical mindset, and team player attitude.

  • Proficiency in Data Analytics, Model Validation, Policy Formulation, Portfolio Management, Stake Holder Management, and Project Management.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in R, Python, SQL, and Advanced Excel.
