Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as an expert in design review, rehabilitation works, and dam safety inspections. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing major rehabilitation components, estimating costs, and providing expert input for physical modeling of structural interventions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess design submissions, focusing on design aspects and layout plans.
  • Finalize preliminary designs for rehabilitation works and submit to relevant stakeholders.
  • Review technical bid documents, bill of quantities, and technical specifications for rehabilitation activities.
  • Provide need-based design of major rehabilitation components to support various initiatives.
  • Estimate costs based on item rate analysis or Scheduled of Rates (SOR).
  • Offer expert input for physical modeling of significant structural interventions.
  • Conduct dam safety inspections and manage transmittals.
  • Facilitate capacity building of professionals through customized training programs.
  • Contribute to the revision of existing guidelines and formulation of new ones.
  • Provide inputs for national databases and management information systems.
  • Assist in developing in-house expertise at select Academic Institutes.
  • Develop Training Calendars for design activities and customized training programs.
  • Conduct need-based inspections of dams.
  • Accompany teams for special safety issues.
  • Support assigned activities by senior management.
  • Presentation of technical case studies at conferences and workshops.
  • Collaboration with other departments for joint publications.
  • Preparation of project reports.
  • Contribution to finalizing quality manuals and plans.
