Key Role:

The Senior Apparel Buyer is responsible for driving business growth and profitability through strategic procurement of men's apparel and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement plans to optimize processes and drive sales growth.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of buyers to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
  3. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  4. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to align buying activities with organizational objectives.
  6. Cost Efficiency: Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in the buying process.
  7. Vendor Partnerships: Evaluate vendor capabilities and maintain relationships to support long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in apparel buying and product development.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. NIFT preferred.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical abilities, decision-making capabilities, effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing strategies and industry best practices.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
