Job Overview

The primary objective of the Security Incident Response Analyst is to ensure the protection and integrity of digital assets from unauthorized access. This involves identifying security incidents, analyzing data, and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring and responding to security events in a 24/7 environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, assess the scope of the attack, and contain or mitigate risks.
  • Security Monitoring: Proactively monitor security events from various channels (SIEM, tickets, email, phone) and escalate as necessary to Tier 3 specialists or customers for further investigation and resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and management to enhance SOC processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring the safeguarding of corporate data and technology platforms.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer builds, security procedures, and incident response plans, facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Continual Improvement: Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements, contributing to the development of new strategies and use cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to SIEM tools like ELK and Wazuh.
  • Strong understanding of network security practices, TCP/IP, and basic desktop and server operating systems.
  • Ability to analyze system log information and identify endpoint tracing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and report writing.
  • Knowledge of common network services, host-based firewalls, anti-malware, and HIDS.
