The AI Engineering team at our organization is at the heart of transforming how millions of people access personalized nutrition and care. The Staff AI Engineer will play a critical role in designing and deploying solutions that drive real-world impact—like tailoring communications, improving engagement, and reducing missed appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable, high-performance backend applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Build and maintain APIs and microservices that enable real-time and batch inference of AI/ML models.
  • Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models (e.g., LLMs, classification models) for specific business use cases.
  • Integrate external AI services where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI-powered features.
  • Contribute to MLOps workflows, including deployment, versioning, and monitoring of models in production.
  • Follow engineering best practices for clean code, testing, observability, and reliability.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in AI tooling and infrastructure to continuously improve system performance and model impact.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
