Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Observability Engineer to join our team. This is a long-term contract position with a global technology leader. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable observability platforms, driving adoption of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tooling, and embedding synthetic monitoring into modern service architectures.

The successful candidate will architect scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments. They will lead APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models. Additionally, they will define onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient synthetic monitoring platforms across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead Dynatrace APM adoption with standardized instrumentation and deployment models.
  • Define onboarding strategies for cloud, hybrid, and edge telemetry sources with a focus on synthetic monitoring.
  • Integrate observability tooling to deliver unified insights.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop custom synthetic monitoring solutions where needed.
  • Contribute to open-source or internal observability tooling/standards for synthetic monitoring.
  • Drive documentation, training, and cross-team knowledge sharing to strengthen monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with application teams to embed synthetic monitoring into new service architectures.
  • Partner with security teams on compliance, threat detection, and governance related to monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Synthetic Monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with other monitoring/observability tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
