Linux System Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Linux system administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cluster Management: Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery of OCP environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide L3 support for incidents and problems related to OpenShift, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of OCP clusters, implement best practices for resource allocation and management, and conduct capacity planning and scaling of OCP environments.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security policies, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and deployments, utilizing tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines for automation.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the OCP environment and processes, provide training and mentorship to junior administrators, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
  • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, particularly RHEL.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Understanding of network configurations, load balancing, and firewall management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
