Research Associate Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing research-backed policy inputs to inform Madhya Pradesh's development agenda.

The position involves close engagement with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy design.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputed institution. A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia is required. Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python) is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • Analyse large datasets and apply econometric/statistical techniques for policy insights.
  • Draft policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Engage with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
  • Contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges.
  • Support project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.
  • Work with other researchers to ensure high-quality outputs.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputed institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and independently manage research projects.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience in state-level or applied policy research, especially in Madhya Pradesh.
