Automation Test Engineer for Software Quality

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Sr Automation Test Engineer to join our team at PeopleLogic Business Solutions Pvt Ltd. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our software applications.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented automation test engineer to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute automation tests for web applications, APIs, and mobile apps, using tools like Selenium and Appium.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for faster sanity checks and quicker deployments.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our test automation framework and utility building initiatives.
- Perform functional testing of features and end-to-end integration testing of various application flows to ensure overall system quality.
- Identify, review, and diagnose reported bugs to ensure overall system quality prior to customer release.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and develop test artefacts.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience working in Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to test web applications/APIs/Mobile Apps effectively and efficiently.
- Hands-on work experience and firm hold in high-level programming languages, preferably Java.
- Strong conceptual understanding of efficient data structures usage.
- Strong experience in UI Automation tools like Selenium using POM.
- Strong experience in Backend API automation using RestAssured library.
- Good exposure towards unit testing frameworks like TestNG/Junit.
- Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL (Mongo)).
- Experience working with build tools like Maven/Gradle.
- Experience in working in CI tools, preferably Jenkins.
- Excellent debugging skills to quickly identify issues and come up with the RCA.
- Working knowledge of Git commands.
- Experience with working with any of the Test/Project Management tools like Test Rail/JIRA.
- Prior experience towards involvement around peer code-reviews.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Ability to mentor and guide fellow team members on testing strategies and automation.
Estimated Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is ₹12-20 lakhs per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
