Portfolio Intelligence Specialist

A leading provider of portfolio intelligence solutions is seeking an experienced specialist to empower hedge funds and asset managers in optimizing performance and mitigating risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to develop robust portfolio intelligence tools and analytics components
  • Analyze portfolio- and security-level performance, risk, and attribution to drive informed investment decisions
  • Decompose returns to identify key drivers of alpha, beta, and idiosyncratic outcomes, ensuring accurate risk assessment and management
  • Conduct market, macroeconomic, and security-level research to support client workflows and product insights, providing actionable intelligence for optimal portfolio management
  • Validate, interpret, and clearly communicate financial metrics to both internal stakeholders and clients, fostering strong relationships and trust
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in a front-office financial role (investment banking, hedge fund, asset management), with a proven track record of success
  • Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, with strong proficiency in financial modeling and interpreting large datasets to inform strategic decision-making
  • Deep understanding of core investment concepts: portfolio theory, risk attribution, yield, drawdown, correlation, and volatility, enabling the development of effective risk management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear, actionable insights that resonate with institutional clients
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets, investment strategies, and institutional workflows, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and deliver results
