Java Backend Developer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Engineer to join our agile team. As a key member, you will drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop responsive web applications using best engineering practices.

This role involves performing hand-on software development, writing code, unit tests, proof of concepts, conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints.

You will also be responsible for refactoring code and delivering continuous improvement, developing deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within supported domains, managing your own time and working well both independently and as part of a team.

About the Role
  • Performing software development, coding, unit testing, and code reviews.
  • Refactoring code to improve quality and maintainability.
  • Developing and integrating system components.
  • Working closely with product managers, backend and frontend engineers to implement solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  3. Analyze and resolve technical issues and bugs.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
  5. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years experience working in Java and good knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience developing Java applications in an enterprise setting, especially with Java 11 and above.
  • Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Drop wizard, JavaScript on Node stack, and Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery environments and Agile or SAFe development methodologies.
