Senior Analytics Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and engineering, with expertise in designing and developing data models, extracting insights from complex data sets, and communicating findings effectively.

This role is critical to our organization's success, as it involves leveraging data analytics to drive business decisions and improve customer experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and transform large datasets into actionable insights, using SQL, AWS Glue, or other emerging technologies.

The Senior Analytics Engineer will be responsible for gathering and transforming large datasets, recommending and building robust data models, identifying and executing data quality testing, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and training team members on best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or engineering, 3-6 years of experience in data-driven solutions, and expert-level skills in writing advanced SQL queries, Python, and EDA/data processing tools like AWS Glue, S3, or Redshift.

Additionally, the candidate should have proficient skills in Tableau or Power BI for advanced visualization and a strong focus on data infrastructure (AWS-focused) and analytics. Prior experience with Delta or other airline or hospitality data is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and transform large datasets using SQL, AWS Glue, or other emerging technologies
  • Recommend and build robust data models that capture business performance from a customer experience lens
  • Identify and execute data quality testing along critical checkpoints and surface data drift or anomalies
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and build automated processes to catch issues proactively
  • Train team members on SQL, AWS, and Tableau best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or engineering
  • 3-6 years of experience in data-driven solutions
  • Expert-level skills in writing advanced SQL queries, Python, and EDA/data processing tools like AWS Glue, S3, or Redshift
  • Proficient skills in Tableau or Power BI for advanced visualization
  • Strong focus on data infrastructure (AWS-focused) and analytics
