Job Description

As a Principal Automotive Seating Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement advanced seating systems that meet quality, assembly, and functional requirements.
  • Leading the design and development of seat components, including foam, plastic, structure, and seat covers.
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of seat components and meeting project milestones.
  • Executing engineering change requests as needed to ensure product maturity and compliance with global regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in automotive complete seat design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive seating systems, including foam, plastic, structure, seat covers, and comfort elements.
  • Experience with full product lifecycle management, from concept generation to post-production support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Proficiency in UG NX software.
