Key Role: Supply Chain Management Expert

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing, procurement, and vendor development initiatives for Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM). The ideal candidate will ensure the right materials are available at the right cost, time, and quality to support our production and new product development needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of vendors for RM and PM, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and service expectations.
  • Design and implement procurement strategies that guarantee uninterrupted supply at the best value, while mitigating supply risks.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and NPD teams to onboard vendors for new materials and packaging innovations in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate prices, contractual agreements, and drive cost-saving initiatives across the procurement portfolio.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for OTIF, cost, lead time, and inventory health, and conduct regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices in vendor evaluation, material planning, and purchase order processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends for key raw materials and packaging inputs to forecast price movements and manage budgets effectively.
  • E nsure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Leverage technology to digitize and streamline procurement processes via ERP systems and relevant tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Supply Chain, or related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in RM/PM Procurement, preferably in Food, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
  • Ability to lead procurement projects and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of procurement software tools is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of RM/PM specifications, quality norms, and food safety regulations is essential.
