The Role

You will collaborate with our Product and Data Science teams to design and maintain multiple technologies, including API backends, credit scoring systems, payments integrations, and operations tools. We tackle numerous technical challenges ranging from maintaining complex financial systems to accessing and processing creative data sources for our algorithmic credit model.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building APIs and backend systems for our frontend clients, including mobile apps.
  • Integrating with various third-party systems, including payment platforms, identity providers, and messaging systems.
  • Developing new financial products that cater to diverse customer needs.
  • Scaling our backend services to handle growing traffic and complexity.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (3-8 years) in building backend software for web-based or mobile products.
  • Experience leveraging modern AI tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including computer science, distributed systems, data storage, and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to combine technical expertise with product needs to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with a strong desire to impact business outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and open communication.
  • Experience working in a distributed team environment and adapting to global colleagues.
  • Hands-on experience with scalable data architectures and integrating disparate data sources.
  • Strong command of data modeling and organization best practices.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python.
