About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing a team of specialists who prepare and submit reports, including statutory financial statements, direct and indirect taxes, and other regulatory requirements. The goal is to ensure timely completion of financial statements and tax returns in adherence to global and local policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: Lead dispersed teams for audit and taxation, providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
  2. Leadership: Foster an environment conducive to achieving individual and collective goals.
  3. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax returns reporting/filing, declarations, and mandated reports, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes.
  4. Financial Statements: Oversee the precise preparation of financial statements in alignment with Local GAAP.
  5. Tax Calculation: Calculate current, advance, and deferred tax in alignment with accounting policies based on IFRS.
  6. Transfer Pricing Compliance: Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations through maintenance of local transfer pricing files.
  7. Audit Management: Efficiently coordinate external audit processes, ensuring time and cost effectiveness.
  8. External Relationships: Manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors, including tax advisors, to optimize external expertise.
  9. Process Improvement and Standardization: Cultivate a Continuous Process Improvement (CI) mindset, challenging the status quo to identify efficient ways of working.
  10. Tax Planning and Projects: Support the Global Tax Manager in tax planning and strategic projects.
  11. Documentation: Establish and maintain work instructions to ensure transparency and consistency.
  12. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks, acting as an escalation point to drive issue resolution.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Educational Level:

Qualified Chartered Accountant or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant

Professional Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience

Experience in a Multi-National Environment: Yes

Leadership Expertise: With a readiness to manage remote teams across different locations

Analytical Skills: Decision-making skills, Change management skills

Proactive Attitude: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Language: Good written and spoken English
