About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Architect and Cybersecurity Expert to join our team in building a secure, scalable, and user-friendly cloud-based web application.

The system will enable users to create, configure, and schedule compute resources, manage access, and monitor sessions from a single control panel. It must support high-volume provisioning, secure user-resource mapping, and real-time management while maintaining a clean and reliable user experience.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll be the lead developer on this project, collaborating directly with product leads who bring 14+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud, and platform design. You'll receive feature direction and support but take full ownership of implementation.

Your tasks will include:

  • Dynamically generating lab creation and configuration flows
  • Developing backend workflows for secure student-to-VM assignment
  • Implementing a scheduler engine to auto-launch and shut down labs
  • Creating admin panels for managing VMs, monitoring activity, and enforcing quotas
  • Designing backend queues to process high-volume VM requests securely
  • Integrating APIs with cloud services using best practices for authentication and rate-limiting

We value developers who can read a brief, ask clarifying questions, and deliver reliable, tested results. Your code should be clean, modular, and maintainable.

Tech Stack

We use JavaScript (92.6%), HTML, CSS for frontend development, Node.js, React.js for backend development, and MongoDB as our database. Our cloud platform is Azure, used for provisioning, access, and resource control.

You don't need to be an Azure expert, but you must understand web architecture, security-first development, and designing systems that scale.

Must-Have Skills

You'll need:

  • 3+ years of full-stack web development experience
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js
  • Solid understanding of secure web development, especially in multi-user systems
  • Experience working with queues, scheduling, and async backend processes
  • Knowledge of RBAC, tokens, API communication, and form validation
  • Bonus: Familiarity with education platforms or cloud-based lab delivery
