Senior Business Intelligence Developer Position

A prominent company seeks a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to spearhead the implementation of enterprise data initiatives.

This role combines hands-on data engineering, ETL development, and business intelligence reporting delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering: Design, develop, and publish Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service datasets that meet business requirements.
  • Implement data models tailored for reporting, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and performant data sets.
  • Create reusable DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and semantic layers to enhance data insights.
  • Ensure reports and dashboards adhere to governance, security, and performance best practices.
  • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Develop and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data into data warehouses and marts, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with onsite data architects and engineers to guarantee data quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Build optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with onsite leads, data architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions, provide status updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
  • 6-9 years of experience in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence.
  • Strong hands-on skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS (ETL development).
  • Knowledge of data modeling principles.
  • Experience working in an offshore delivery model with global teams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments is beneficial.
  • Data governance and security models in Power BI are advantageous.
