Cybersecurity Threat Researcher

We are seeking a skilled Threat Researcher to join our team. As a Threat Researcher, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats. Your expertise in threat analysis, reverse engineering, and security technologies will be essential in helping us stay ahead of emerging threats.

As a Threat Researcher, you will be responsible for:

  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining various cybersecurity products in a lab environment, including endpoint, web, email, and network protection products.
  • Maintaining product inventory, including licenses, updates, and multiple versions of the same products.
  • Recommending solutions for security product deployment and configurations.
  • Analyzing PHISHING emails, malicious URLs, and PHISHING URLs.
  • Tracking and identifying new and existing PHISHING campaigns.
  • Identifying trends in the latest phishing techniques.

In addition to your technical skills, you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also be able to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent plus 3 years experience.
  • MS or equivalent plus 1 year experience.
  • Well-versed with IOCs, reverse engineering, and threat campaign tracking.
  • Experience in malicious URL and PHISHING Email analysis.
  • Script-enabled for scripting automations for handling huge volumes of threat artifacts like files, emails, URLs etc.
  • Email analysis skills to determine PHISHING, Clean, and Spam emails.
  • Ability to identify PHISHING email campaigns.
  • Ability to work with high volume of emails for accurate email classification.
  • Expertise in static and dynamic analysis of URLs and Files.
  • Expertise in URL analysis for identification of PHISHING and scam URLs.
  • Well-versed with creating Yara rules for email grouping and clustering.
  • Ability to automate daily email classification through automation and scripting.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging threats & security technologies.
  • Ability to think analytically & work independently.
